Spain darling Lewandowski says ‘indifferent’ to Saudi salary offer of ‘200 million’

Robert Lewandowski turned down an astronomical salary offer.

After Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Al Nasr signaled a move to Saudi Arabia, a number of players have opted for the Middle East. Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante have both signed for Al Ittihad, and even Leo Neves, in his prime, is on the verge of a move to Al Hilal.

Lewandowski has also received a big offer. According to Polish newspaper Meszuki, a Saudi team has offered him a “mega deal” worth €150 million a year. That’s more than Benzema’s €100 million ($142.3 million) a year. 안전놀이터

However, Lewandowski remains unmoved. “He is not interested in a transfer at all and has not even started talks,” the outlet said.

The Polish native spent the early part of his career in his homeland before breaking into the world class at Borussia Dortmund in 2010. He moved to Bayern Munich in 2014 and then to Spain, signing for FC Barcelona in 2022.

Lewandowski is very happy in Barcelona. In the 2022-2023 season, he made 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring 33 goals and providing eight assists. No club in the world, not just Saudi Arabia, is trying to sign him. “The player has no intention of transferring in the near future,” the outlet added.
