Lee Kang-in’s move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is looking increasingly likely.
‘PSG has offered 22 million euros (approximately 30.3 billion won) for Lee Kang-in,’ Spanish media outlets such as Marca reported on the 13th (KST). Lee Kang-in has been highly touted as a possible transfer this summer, and PSG is being eyed as his new club.
A number of local French media outlets have also speculated on the possibility of Lee joining PSG. On July 13, French outlet Le 10 Sport reported, “Surprisingly, PSG are close to completing the signing of Lee Kang-in. PSG are close to finalizing the signing of Lee Kang-in. Lee will be heading to Paris,’ and ‘Lee has reached an agreement with PSG. PSG are in final negotiations for the signing of Lee and are discussing options.
Primera Liga side Atletico Madrid (AT Madrid) have been heavily linked with a move for Lee, but negotiations have been unsuccessful. Spanish outlet Relevo reported on Wednesday that “Lee Kang-in will not sign for AT Madrid. The transfer talks have broken down. Barring any sudden and unforeseen circumstances, Lee will not be joining AT Madrid. In recent weeks, the two sides have continued negotiations but have not been able to reach an agreement that satisfies everyone.
Having made a move for Lee in the January transfer window, AT Madrid have been keen to sign him ahead of this summer’s transfer window, and have held talks with Mallorca on several occasions, but have reportedly been unable to agree on a transfer fee. 안전놀이터
According to Spanish outlet Football Deportivo de Mallorca, ‘Lee has informed AT Madrid that he has received a better offer than AT Madrid. A Premier League club has made a transfer offer for the player,” according to the outlet.
PSG lost Messi at the end of the 2022-23 season. Mbappe, on the other hand, is still under contract with PSG and is expected to play in the 2023-24 season. It’s possible that Mbappe will be Lee’s new teammate.
PSG has already virtually finalized a number of signings. The club has reportedly confirmed the signings of Thibaut Courtois (Inter Milan) and Asensio (Real Madrid), both of whom are out of contract with their respective clubs. They have also been linked with a move for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
