Doosan Bears pitcher Won-jun Choi was forced to leave the game against the KIA Tigers due to injury.
Won-jun Choi pitched five innings of four-hit, four-walk, one-strikeout ball against KIA at Jamsil Stadium on July 7. His total pitch count was 59.
After striking out the side in the first and second innings, Choi gave up the first hit to Kim Tae-gun in the top of the third. However, he retired the next three batters to end the inning.
Defensive help followed in the middle innings. In the top of the fourth inning, Choi gave up a double to Na Sung-bum and a line drive to the fence against Choi Hyung-woo. However, right fielder Cho Su-hyung chased down the ball and made the catch to end the threat. In the fifth inning, Cho gave up back-to-back singles to Oh Sun-woo and Kim Tae-gun, but Cho’s line drive to right-center was picked off by Cho to end the inning without a run. 바카라사이트
With Doosan leading 2-0 in the top of the sixth inning, Choi was suddenly called to the bench. A blister on his right middle finger had peeled off during a practice pitch. After checking with the trainer, Doosan decided that Choi was no longer able to pitch and brought in Kim Myung-shin for relief.
The day before, Doosan pounded KIA for 13 hits in a 7-1 loss. However, Choi Won-jun, who took the mound as a substitute starter, was able to keep the Kia bats warm and take the lead. An unexpected injury sidelined Choi, who had plenty of pitches to work with. It was a disappointing moment for Doosan.
