‘Crazy’ Saudi Al-Hilal make ’29 billion offer’ for Napoli goalscorer

Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal have promised Victor Osimhen (Napoli, 24) a huge payday.

“Al-Hilal have offered a total of €200 million for Osimhen. They are very serious about signing him and have offered him an annual salary of €40 million for five seasons,” Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Aug. 8 (KST).

Nigerian striker Osimhen joined Napoli from LOSC Lille in September 2020 for a transfer fee of €75 million. He signed a long-term contract until June 2025. He was a prolific goalscorer. He produced 10 goals and three assists in 30 games in 2020-21, 18 goals and six assists in 32 games in 2021-22, and 31 goals and five assists in 39 games in 2022-23. In his last season, he was the top scorer in the Italian Serie A (26 goals). His overall record in three seasons with Napoli is 59 goals and 14 assists in 101 games (per Transfermarkt). This has made him one of the hottest strikers in Europe.
