Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, and Jordi Alba could all play for Inter Miami.
Spain’s ‘Marca’ reported on Friday (June 5) that “Inter Miami are planning to assemble a top team with star players from Barcelona. They have opened negotiations with Messi and Busquets, then Alba, and are now considering Iniesta.”
Inter Miami recently signed Messi. Messi has been an iconic figure for Barcelona. He established himself as a key player after making his professional debut in 2004 and remained at the top for 17 years. However, his time with the club came to an abrupt end in the summer of 2021 when he was up for renewal due to the club’s financial problems. 토토사이트
Messi then joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a new challenge. This summer, after fulfilling the two years of his contract, he began looking for a new home again. At first, a return to Barcelona was the favorite. A move to Saudi Arabia was also considered, but Messi wanted to return to his hometown team.
In the end, however, the king’s return was not to be. Messi himself said, “I’m going to Inter Miami. I really wanted to return to Barcelona, but I didn’t want to be in the same situation as two years ago. I didn’t want to put my future in someone else’s hands. I wanted to make my own decisions, thinking only of myself and my family.”
Soon after, news broke that another Barcelona legend was heading to Inter Miami. Busquets. Busquets joined Barcelona’s youth academy in 2005. He went on to play for the B team and then the first team in the 2008-09 season. He formed a midfield combination with Iniesta and Xavi that led Barcelona to their golden era.
That’s not all, as Inter Miami is considering bringing in two more former Barcelona players. Alba, who played left back, is one of the candidates. Alba, who played for Barcelona since 2012, like Busquets, is out of contract this summer and is a free agent.
Inter Miami are reportedly in talks with Alba. They are also considering a move for Iniesta. Iniesta came up through Barcelona’s youth ranks and made his first-team debut in 2002. He played for 16 years before moving to Vissel Kobe (Japan). He spent five years with the club and recently ended his stay.
